Seth MacFarlane is finally responding to those Family Guy clips from 2009 that have recently gone viral, which some say predicted Caitlyn Jenner’s transition.
The clip resurfaced earlier this month, showing Stewie making an offhand joke to Brian about Jenner being a “beautiful, elegant Dutch woman” with a “vagina" who gave birth to his son Brody Jenner.
During a conference call to promote Ted 2, MacFarlane told Huffington Post he’s "too savvy to comment.”
He explained, "Once the outrage industry shuts down, I will be happy to have an adult conversation about all of this stuff anytime anyone wants, but, even though I’m on the side of support, I just don’t think there’s any way to.”
The creator of the show, who voices multiple characters, continued “you just got to play it safe because the climate is just too charged. Anything I say can and will be used against me."
MacFarlane also voiced support for Jenner, saying everyone should “live and let live.”
