President Obama held a speaking engagement for LGBT Pride Month in the East Room of the White House on Wednesday, where he was heckled repeatedly by a man in the audience.
Obama grew tired of the man’s interruptions about deportation and decided to shut him down and have him escorted out of the event. “Hey listen, you are in my house,” Obama told him.
“You know know what? It’s not respectful when you get invited to somebody[‘s house],” Obama continued. “You are not going to get a good response from me by interrupting me like this. Shame on you, you shouldn’t be doing this.”
He added, “Can we escort this person out? Can we have this person removed please. As a general rule, I am just fine with a few hecklers but not when I am up in the house. If you are eating the hors d’oeuvres, know what I’m sayin’?, and drinking the booze…” Daily Caller reports.
The heckler has been identified by the immigration group FAMILIA TQLM as an undocumented transgender activist named Jennicet Gutierrez, who’s the founding member of the group.
