Chad Michael Murray and wife Sarah Roemer welcome a baby boy

Chad Michael Murray and his wife, Sarah Roemer, have welcomed a baby boy. The former One Tree Hill star tweeted the happy news to his fans on Sunday.

Murray first apologized for missing his favorite charity event of the year, but he had good reasoning for it.

“Sry I'm missin @JimKellyInc charity this year in Buffalo. My fav event 2 attend, but we've been blessed with a son. Gods greatest gift,” he tweeted.

He added, “Sarah & I couldn’t b happier & intend 2 spend many a day having family adventures & watching @buffalobills football! & also @Chargers now.”

Back in January, Murray’s rep confirmed he secretly married his Chosen co-star, Roemer, and that she was pregnant.

"Chad and Sarah are extremely happy and excited, and enjoying their life together," his rep said. "We please ask that their privacy be respected at this special and personal time."

Murray has previously referred to himself as a “traditionalist.” He has said, “I'm a romantic. I'm a family guy. I want that core.”
