Caitlyn Jenner gets unprecedented $5 million payday for 'I Am Cait' docu-series

Caitlyn Jenner’s I Am Cait docu-series, which documents her new life as a woman, is monumental in more ways than one.

Of course, it’s groundbreaking that the former Olympian is sharing her story on a public platform but the amount of money she’s reportedly getting paid for it is also unprecedented.

Jenner will reportedly pocket $5 million for doing the series, as E! feared they would lose her to another network if they didn’t put up the money. Initially, it’s reported she was offered $2 million.

A source told RadarOnline, “It’s the biggest paycheck ever given by E! for a solo reality show,” adding her agent was “relentless in getting her the huge payday.”

When negotiations slowed down at $2 million, her agent “then began informal talks with other networks, and E! quickly came back to the table, ready to pay $5 million.”

A rep for Jenner wouldn’t comment on any financial terms of the docu-series, telling Page Six, “We do not comment on financial matters. Caitlyn will share her story when ‘I Am Cait’ premieres on July 26.”

Jenner has been spotted out filming her docu-series this in recent weeks, giving a motivational speech at the LGBT Center in Hollywood, Calif just days ago.

E! released the first promo earlier this month.
