Caitlyn Jenner has made it to The Simpsons, but she won’t appear on the show. Instead she’s been inserted into Springfield by contemporary artist aleXsandro Palombo as a love interest for Homer Simpson.
The Italian artist is a transgender activist, so his message was to give this trans public figure a platform.
"Nowadays, transgender citizens are still marginalized and forced to live in a very difficult social situation,” he told the Daily Mirror.
“They are victims of prejudice, discrimination and in many cases criminalized and victims of violence. Despite all of this, the policy of many countries continues to be deaf in front of their rights. We must fight this medieval prejudice and intolerance because everyone deserves to live with dignity and lead a life that match their own sexual identity.”
Palombo drew Jenner into the Simpsons world in various images, one being the 65-year-old former Olympian in bed with Homer as her Vanity Fair cover hangs on the wall.
In another image, Homer is looking through the issue and the words “Meet single transgender women looking for men!" appear on the back cover. Another promotes “Trans rights,” reimagining Jenner as Wonder Woman.
