Nick Jonas and Demi Lovato have announced they’re joining forces to create their own record label with Island Records called Safehouse Records.
The former Disney stars teamed up with manager Phil McIntyre to create the label and they will be releasing new music through it.
“I’ve worked closely with both Nick and Phil for years and we share the same point of view when it comes to making music,” she said in a statement, EW reports. “It’s incredibly exciting to be part of this new company where I’m in control of all aspects of my career. I can’t wait to share what we’re working on!”
Anyone who joins their label will enjoy success as “part owners,” the release also said.
Lovato will be releasing her upcoming fifth album on Safehouse Records in partnership with the label she’s currently signed to, Hollywood Records.
Jonas, who has seen success with a solo career with singles like “Jealous” and “Chains,” is already signed to Island Records.
Lovato and Jonas have had a working relationship for a while, with Jonas working as the musical and creative director on her Neon Lights tour last year.
