The whole Kardashian clan will be arriving in Armenia this week, but Kim, husband Kanye West and their daughter North, 1, along with Khloe Kardashian arrived on Wednesday.
It’s been rumored the Keeping Up with the Kardashians stars are going to Armenia to mark the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, but her rep has denied that. It’s possible they just want to connect with that side of their heritage.
Kim, Kanye, North and Khloe arrived on Wednesday to huge crowds, TMZ reports. They even got welcomed with open arms with a tradition normally used to greet dignitaries – being presented with bread and salt by women in traditional Armenian clothes.
On their trip, they plan on visiting historical sites like the genocide museum as well as meet with politicians. E!’s cameras are there filming every step of the way, Daily Mail reports.
They may even meet relatives of their late father, Robert Kardashian, who was of Armenian descent. They’re visiting the city of Gyumri, where it’s believed their family lives.
