Kellie Pickler and her husband, Kyle Jacobs, will star in their own reality show on the CMT network called I Love Kellie Pickler.
Pickler, who first stole fans’ hearts as a contestant on American Idol, described the show as a "Southern I Love Lucy.” The show won’t be centered on her country music career, rather her marriage to Jacobs and their friends.
They announced the show on Thursday at The Times Center in New York City, Fox News reports.
Pickler will be reuniting with Idol host, Ryan Seacrest, whose company will produce the show.
Pickler told Rolling Stone Country, “I've been offered reality shows since Idol. With Ryan it just felt right. We've been talking about it for years, and just have never made it a priority."
She also talked about it being a I Love Lucy meets Friends feel, explaining she’s a “huge fan of Lucille Ball, and her funny shenanigans with Ethel that poor Ricky would have to get her out of. We want to play off that type of comedy — lighthearted but natural situations that I get into.”
Pickler and Jacobs will start filming this month.
