Jamie Dornan admits to stalking a woman on the subway for 'The Fall' research (Video)

Jamie Dornan is known to go the extra mile for research on film roles, having visited a sex dungeon for his role as Christian Grey on Fifty Shades of Grey, but his research for a serial killer was much creepier.

For his role as Paul Spector on Netflix’s The Fall, Dornan admits to stalking a woman on the subway as research.

He told Los Angeles Times, “The first series, I did do a couple of things to try to get inside [his mind].”

He started to explain, “On the tube, which is our underground system,” then paused. "Can we get arrested for this? Hold on ... this is a really bad reveal: I, like, followed a woman off the train one day to see what it felt like to pursue someone like that."

Dornan admitted it was “exciting, in a really sort of dirty way” and although he’s “not proud” of it he did at least learn what he set out to learn: to get in the mindset of a psychotic killer.
