Dennis Quaid and the masterminds over at Funny or Die have fooled us. The viral video featuring the actor having a complete meltdown onset was actually a parody video for the website.
A day after the video went viral, Funny or Die released the “full video,” which shows it was all a joke.
In the video, he’s seen calling those on set “zombies” and “pu—ies" and generally losing his mind. It was suspected the video was a fake, with it widely being believed it was a publicity stunt orchestrated by Jimmy Kimmel.
Kimmel denied any involvement on his late night show Jimmy Kimmel Live on Tuesday night.
Also on Wednesday, David Spade posted an Instagram photo of Quaid putting actor Seth Green in a chokehold. He captioned it, “This Dennis Quaid video is no joke. He killed @sethgreen today. @funnyordie.” The fact that he tagged Funny or Die was the first clue in the site’s involvement.
The truth has finally come out.
