The man who walked over the Grand Canyon, Niagara Falls and most recently between two Chicago skyscrapers all on a tightrope, has now completed another feat and set a record.
Nik Wallenda’s latest stunt scaling the spinning Orlando Eye, a 400-foot observation wheel, was broadcast live on NBC’s Today show.
MSN reported that the 36-year-old daredevil set his 10th world record after he walked along the wheel’s beams as the structure spun at 1 mph. He started the walk around 8 a.m. and made his way into the Guinness World Records after five minutes.
"This is definitely a dream of mine," Wallenda said. "I'm living out what my family has done for over 200 years. To be able to fulfill these life-long dreams is an awesome feeling of accomplishment."
Wallenda is a seventh-generation member of The Flying Wallendas, a family known for live high-wire performances.
So with another gravity-defying stunt under his belt it’s anyone’s guess what he will do next.
