Britney Spears had a bit of a scare onstage on Wednesday night during her Piece of Me show at her Las Vegas residency.
During her performance of “(You Drive Me) Crazy,” she twisted her ankle while dancing and fell. She didn’t immediately get back up, which worried concertgoers. She reportedly did eventually get back up and continue the show.
Spears assured fans she was fine and not seriously injured after the fall when she read the outpouring of well wishers from fans after the show on social media.
“Thank you for all of the sweet wishes! Had a little scare on stage tonight with my ankle but I’m ok!” she tweeted.
Huffington Post reports she actually sprained her ankle.
The “Pretty Girls” singer, 33, has had a history of injuring herself while dancing and has specifically had issues with her knee, which she had surgery on in both 1999 and 2004.
