Kelly Osbourne has broken her silence for the first time since leaving E!’s Fashion Police but hasn’t given fans any more of an explanation than what she said in her official statement upon quitting.
She appeared on her mom, Sharon Osbourne’s show The Talk on Tuesday and talked about having her sights set on the future.
“It was the five best working years of my life,” she said, Us Weekly reports. “I am so grateful for the experience — working with Joan Rivers for five years was incredible. I learned so much and I’m excited for my future. I want to try new things.”
Osbourne made no mention of Zendaya, or her former co-host Giuliana Rancic during the appearance.
She threatened to quit the show on Twitter after Rancic suggested Zendaya’s dreadlocks smelled like “weed” or “patchouli oil” and she made good on that threat soon after.
Rancic has since apologized, but Osbourne made it clear she wanted to separate herself from the remarks made during the Fashion Police Oscar special.
“Im giving everyone involved 24 hours to make it right or the world will hear how I really feel. contactually Im not allowed to speak!” she tweeted angrily at the time. “I DID NOT MAKE THE WEED COMENT. I DO NOT CONDONE RACISM SO AS A RSULT OF THIS IM SEREIOULSY QUESTIONONIG STAYING ON THE SHOW!”
