Jimmy Kimmel has revealed during SXSW that he underwent two penis surgeries to fix a closed urethra. Kimmel is hosting his Jimmy Kimmel Live in Austin, TX all week.
After he brought up the surgeries while speaking at a panel discussion earlier this week, he told E!’s Marc Malkin about it some more.
“It just kind of closed up on it's own," he said of his urethra. "I don't know why it happened. I still don't know why."
He also called it a “horrible process” because not only did he need surgery on it once, they didn’t fix it all the way the first time and had to go in again.
"The guy said, 'Your urethra's closing up and you need it operated on,' and they did," he explained. "And then they said, 'Yeah, we didn't get it, it didn't quite work. We need to do it again.' And they did it again."
Kimmel will have Kanye West as a guest again on his show Friday, in addition to Matthew McConaughey, Brad Paisley and Willie Nelson this week.
