Sarah Palin has confirmed she has an eye on a 2016 presidential campaign, however noted it’s likely it won’t happen.
While in Las Vegas serving wild boar chili to the homeless on Thursday, she said she would “of course” be interested in running.
She told ABC News she has a “servant’s heart,” so “when you know that there is opportunity to do all you can to put yourself forward in the name of offering service, anybody would be interested.”
She did say “we definitely had enough of seeing” and “America has had enough of seeing” the “sign on the Oval Office door saying, 'No Girls Allowed.’”
If Palin did decide to run, she could potentially run against another woman – Hilary Clinton. But having a woman candidate or not, the former vice presidential candidate thinks “America is definitely ready for real change.”
Names thrown around as possible Republican candidates are Jeb Bush and Mitt Romney, but Palin said she’s just ready for “new energy.”
It “better be a competition and not a coronation,” she added.
