Quick-witted Amal Clooney shoots down fashion question while in court representing Armenia

Amal Clooney has become somewhat of a fashionista since entering the public eye due to her marriage to George Clooney, but don’t mess with her while she’s at work.

First and foremost, Clooney is a human rights lawyer and she made it loud and clear that her career is what her focus is on.

While in court representing Armenia against Turkey, Clooney was asked by The Telegraph about who she was wearing.

She flatlined, “I’m wearing Ede and Ravenscroft,” pointing to her robe.

The founder of her employer Doughty Street Chambers, Geoffrey Robertson QC, was proud that she took a stance in court.

“It is not about white gloves or yachts. It puts the record straight, she is a human rights lawyer,” he said.

Clooney will be representing Armenia against the leader of the Turkish Workers Party, Doğu Perinçek, BuzzFeed reports, who is claiming the 1915 genocide never happened.

Earlier this month, Clooney made her first public appearance as George Clooney's wife on the red carpet at the Golden Globes.
