Mark Ruffalo tweets acceptance speech from bed in London after winning SAG Award for role in 'Normal Heart'

Unfortunately, Mark Ruffalo was not able to make the SAG Awards, where he won for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor for his role in The Normal Heart, so he took it upon himself to issue a public acceptance speech.

He’s currently in London filming Now You See Me: The Second Act, so he found out he won the award by being woken up by his family.

“Ha ha ha! Sunny and my kids just woke me up to tell me I won a SAG award. Have to be at work in 4 hours. Thank you! @SAGawards,” he tweeted.

He then gave his own version of an acceptance speech on Twitter, posting a photo of himself in bed in his pajamas.

In a series of tweets, Ruffalo thanked Ryan Murphy, Larry Kramer, Matt Bomer and the rest of the cast, HBO, Dante Di Lereto, Dede Gardner and Plan B, his reps and PR team.

Upon waking and hearing from my wife and kids that I won a @sagawards for #TheNormalHeart Love wins tonight!
