James Corden will be taking over the Late Late Show from Craig Ferguson in March, but it doesn’t look like he’s too confident in its success once he takes the reigns.
He’s not well known here in the U.S. but his role in Into the Woods could help more people recognize him. However, Corden either has self-deprecating humor or he does really not believe in his abilities.
He told The Telegraph there’s a "three per cent chance of the show working - and that's decreasing as we talk!"
"I'll be thankful if I can bring any humor to the show if I'm honest,” he added.
Corden is known as an actor in the UK, which he does hope to continue when the time is right. "It's definitely in my plan to carry on acting at some point, I've just got this little merry jaunt to go on which is bound to be a disaster and the show will be cancelled and then I'll have to go and get another job," he said.
Last month, Corden appeared on the show with Ferguson, where he was interrogated by the late night host.
"Are you sure you want to do it, James?" he joked, to which Corden replied, "I think it's too late now, Craig."
