One downside of having sex scenes on your show is the possibility that your parents will see it, just ask Girls star Allison Williams.
The Season 4 premiere started off with a particularly raunchy sex scene involving Williams’ character Marnie and Ebon Moss-Bacharach’s Desi. The Nightly News host was forced to watch it while attending the premiere last week and admitted it’s not difficult for him anymore.
“She’s always been an actress,” he told New York Mag. “For us, watching her is the family occupation and everybody has to remember it’s aging, no animals were harmed during the filming, and ideally nobody gets hurt.”
One person who was more uptight about it than he was is Jemima Kirke, who plays Jessa.
“I sat behind Allison and her dad in the first season [premiere] and I was going to puke; I was so nervous,” she said. “I don’t even know him, but can you imagine?! Watching a kissing scene with my dad next to me is awful, let alone with you getting — whatever that’s called — motorboated in your ass!”
Williams told EW about filming the sex scene with Moss-Bacharach that it was an “engineering achievement” in the wardrobe department to get the logistics of the scene in place.
“It involved Spanx that we cut away and glued down and involved menstrual pads and two of those weird thongs,” she said
