Solange Knowles apparently owes the government thousands of dollars in back taxes. A tax lien was reportedly filed just three days after she married Alan Ferguson last month.
Knowles married Ferguson in New Orleans on Nov. 16 but the honeymoon was halted when the State of California filed a lien against her for reportedly failing to pay over $55,000 worth of taxes.
According to TMZ, she failed to pay taxes from 2010-2012.
Meanwhile, Beyonce and Solange’s father, Mathew Knowles, recently had a garage sale selling memorabilia from both of his daughters’ careers as well as Destiny’s Child.
While there, he told Click2Houston, "If I needed money, I wouldn't sell $5 T-shirts. I’d sell a Grammy or an MTV award. So that is insulting to think we need to sell $5 T-shirts. No, I don't think so."
The garage sale was to clean out some space at his office, he said.
“Somehow that became we are going out of business, homeless and selling all of Beyoncé's stuff to stay alive, which as you can see it's just the opposite,” he explained.
