Misty Upham’s cause of death has been revealed as blunt force injury to her head and torso, according to King County medical examiner's office in Seattle.
The cause of death was confirmed by the medical examiner's office to E! News.
Upham’s body was found by a family member in a Seattle ravine, while they were searching for her after she went missing on Oct. 5.
They’ve been vocal about their disappointment in the Auburn police department’s lack of help after she was reported missing. Her father, Charles Upham, made statements that she had switched her medications and had suicidal thoughts before she went missing.
They have since denied any wrongdoing, but after she went missing they went on the record saying her missing status was not considered suspicious and her wellbeing wasn’t endangered.
In a Facebook post that has since been deleted, the family claimed the Orange: Osage County actress was trying to hide from police but slipped and fell to her death in the woods behind her apartment.
