Meryl Streep is not included in the pool of people who are not fond of Gwyneth Paltrow. In fact, Streep said her fellow Oscar winner saved her Thanksgiving.
Streep, who lives in the same New York City apartment building as Paltrow, appeared on Live! With Kelly and Michael and revealed that she used Paltrow’s oven when her own oven broke.
"My oven didn’t work. I hate my oven! I hate it,” she said, The Hollywood Reporter reports. “You never hate your oven more than on Thanksgiving day when it won’t cook the turkey."
After cooking the turkey for 11 hours, they realized that it didn’t cook. There were also side dishes to be cooked in the oven, so she emailed Paltrow and a doorman let her in to do the cooking.
"She has the best oven I have ever seen in my life. So I e-mailed her, and they weren’t there,” she said.
Streep has four kids with her husband Don Gummar; Henry, 35, Mamie, 31, Grace, 28, and Louisa, 23. She admitted her daughters were all dying to see what Paltrow’s apartment looked like, explaining, “They had to draw lots for who went with me, but it's a beautiful beautiful place.”
