Angelina Jolie appeared on The Daily Show on Thursday night to promote her film Unbroken, where Jon Stewart imagined how life would turn out if he had married her instead of Brad Pitt.
Stewart poked fun at the couple’s moniker in the press – Brangelina – saying theirs would have been “Stolie.”
If you'd ended up with me instead of Brad Pitt, our portmanteau – Stewart and Jolie – would have been 'Stolie,'” he told the newlywed. "We could have been a vodka brand!"
People reports all jokes aside, he praised Jolie for her seemingly endless talent. She’s an Oscar winning actress who is making a successful transition into directing.
He told her when he met her two decades ago, “I thought, 'This person has talent coming out of everywhere.’ You meet certain people and you go, 'This person embodies something different, special.' I've always thought that about you."
Digital Spy reports Jolie, 39, showed off her humanitarian side while walking into the studio Thursday night in New York, comforting a fan who was being toppled by the long line of people waiting to get a glimpse of the star.
She was seen wiping her tears away and talking with her for a few minutes, even posing for a selfie with her. Jolie was photographed kneeling down on the pavement just to talk to her.
