Jimmy Fallon and his wife, Nancy Fallon, have welcomed their second child via surrogate, Frances Cole Fallon. Frances joins older sister, Winnie, 1.
The Tonight Show host canceled his tapings for the rest of the week following Frances’ birth on Wednesday morning.
Daily News reports the Fallons used a surrogate for both of their daughters after years of struggling to conceive.
In addition to releasing a statement about the birth of his second child, Fallon tweeted, “Franny sends her thanks.”
His rep also told People, “Frances Cole Fallon officially entered the world at 8:45 a.m. on Dec. 3, weighing 5 lbs., 11 oz. and is 18.5 inches long,” adding, “Their new addition joins big sister,Winnie Rose, 16 months. The couple opted to keep their baby joy to themselves until their new daughter made her official debut. Both Fallon babies were born via surrogate.”
Wednesday’s taping of the Tonight Show was scheduled to feature Angelina Jolie. However, re-runs will continue to air in place of new episodes on Thursday and Friday.
Due to unexpected but delightful circumstances, there will not be new episodes tonight or Thursday evening. http://t.co/21Ez3dm6M9
