The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will spend the holidays with both sides of their family - Christmas Eve with the Middletones and Christmas Day with the royals.
On Wednesday, Kate Middleton’s family – including siblings Pippa, 31, and James, 27 - will be at the couple’s Anmer Hall country home.
On Christmas Day on Thursday, they will take Prince George to Sandringham House to be with Queen Elizabeth and the rest of the royal family.
Also on Christmas Day, they will all go to St. Church of St. Mary Magdalen, except for Prince George, People reports.
The royals follow traditional protocol for Christmas Day every year, such as curtseying to the royals that hold the highest titles. They’re also given a schedule for the day’s activities.
Pop Sugar reports there’s even a protocol to arrivals, with the more senior royals arriving last – meaning first in line to the throne, Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall are the last to arrive.
Guests also can’t go to sleep until the Queen does, which is reportedly usually around midnight.
