Now that Season 19 of Dancing with the Stars has wrapped, Tom Bergeron is giving his thoughts on Julianne Hough’s first season as a judge and Erin Andrews’ second season as co-host.
The Emmy winner thinks Hough did “wonderfully” in her new role, saying by season’s end she “really hit her stride.”
"She knows what it's like to be on that floor competing, her comments are concise, are empathetic, are knowledgeable. I don't think you ask any more of a judge,” he told ABC News.
As for Andrews, who replaced Brooke Burke two seasons ago, he’s very happy with her role on the show as well.
Bergeron joked Andrews “breaks me up, keeps me on my toes,” and acts as the “voice of the viewer.” He praised her ability to say “what the people in the audience are wondering."
The season finale took place on Tuesday night, featuring Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star Alfonso Riberio as the winner.
