After four seasons of causing mayhem in court, TNT’s Franklin & Bash will be closing down.
The series starred Breckin Meyer and former Saved by the Bell star Mark-Paul Gosselaar. Other stars included Malcolm McDowell, Reed Diamond, Dana Davis and Heather Locklear.
According to Deadline, this is the first major move for new TNT/TBS chief Kevin Reilly was hired last week. Reilly left his post at Fox this summer.
Gosselaar confirmed the news on his Twitter page, thanking the fans, the network and show producer Sony Pictures TV. He also jokingly asked Meyer to lose his phone number.
Franklin & Bash did start off with a strong audience when it first premiered, but the audience has eroded over the years. The season four premiere drew just 1.24 million viewers, while the series finale had just 975,000 viewers.
TNT is also the home of Rizzoli & Isles, Falling Skies, Legends and The Last Ship.
Thanks for a great run, but sorry to inform that F&B is not coming back for a 5th season. @breckinmeyer please lose my number ASAP.
