Rachel Bilson has given birth to her first child with fiancé Hayden Christensen, a baby girl named Briar Rose.
Sources have confirmed the name to Us Weekly.
The Hart of Dixie star and Christensen, who got engaged in 2008 and briefly split in 2010 before reconciling, gave their daughter a Sleeping Beauty-inspired name. Briar Rose was the name given to Princess Aurora by the three fairies who wanted to protect her from Maleficent’s curse.
Bilson’s rep confirmed she has given birth to The AP, saying both baby Briar and mother are doing just fine.
Not surprisingle, Bilson and Christensen asked for privacy as they enjoy this joyous time with their newborn. Her rep made it clear that they’re supporters of the No Kids Policy, which sets laws in place prohibiting paparazzi or media outlets to publish photos of minors without their parents’ consent.
In May, Bilson opened up about starting a family, saying, “I definitely have family on the brain. Having kids is something I want to see in my future—I hope."
