Missing Massachusetts woman last seen with sex offender, sister says

Authorities are continuing to search for a missing Massachusetts woman, who according to her family, was last seen with a sex offender.

Boston.com reported that Jaimee Mendez’s sister, Alyssa, claimed that her sibling was last seen with a man who is “known sex offender” and that she was “worried” and “freaked out” by him.

That man is currently being questioned by law enforcement, however, police have not released his name.

Mendez’s friends echoed what her sister said about a man she encountered making her nervous and when someone went to pick the 25-year-old up from a particular location she never showed.

WFSB noted that the last time anyone heard from Mendez was on Thursday and over the weekend police found her jacket, cellphone and ID in an industrial park.

Mendez is a mother of a five-year-old autistic child and a Type 1 diabetic, who is required to take medication.

Massachusetts state troopers and police have from Swampscott, Lynn and Salem have all joined in the search for the missing woman.
