Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton have been married for over three years now and have been plagued with divorce rumors almost throughout their entire marriage.
They were both interviewed for 60 Minutes, but chose to do the interviews separately.
"We feel like we're very honest with who we are and our relationship. We've kinda told the good, the bad, the ugly as our relationship has progressed from the beginning till now,” she explained, Fox News reports. “And people dig anyway and they make up lies, so I feel like, we don't really hold back, because if you hold back they're going to dig anyway so might as well just tell it."
She also talked about their home in Oklahoma, which is their one place of solitude amongst the craziness of their lives. "If we don't protect that, then we have nothing,” she said.
As for The Voice mentor, he talked about ending his first marriage after meeting Lamber in 2005 and likening it to his brother’s tragic death.
"That was easily the toughest thing that I've ever been through. I put that, my divorce, up there with my brother's death, and that was a tough, tough call to make,” he said.
Shelton said of why they decided to do the interview separately, "We try so hard to keep people's focus on what we do and not our marriage,” E! Online reports.
He went on to say if they sit down and do interviews together, magazines will pull a their words and turn it into “alien babies.”
