HBO is about to get funny again, or at least as funny as Lena Dunham ever lets Girls get. The often dramatic show about women in their 20s is returning in January.
The network announced on Twitter that Girls’ fourth season will kick off on Sunday, Jan. 11 at 9 p.m. Girls was created by Lena Dunham and stars Dunham, Zosia Mamet, Allison Williams, Jemima Kirke and Adam Driver.
Back in August, HBO released a teaser for Girls’ return, which showed Dunham’s Hannah Horvath character having trouble riding a bike. Dunham won a Golden Globe for her role in 2013.
Togetherness, a new series starring The League’s Mark Duplass, will premiere at 9:30 p.m. the same night. Created by Duplass and his brother Jay Duplass, the comedy centers on two couples who live together. It co-stars Amanda Peet, Melanie Lynskey, Steve Zissis and Abby Ryder Fortson.
Lastly, Looking will begin its sophomore season at 10 p.m. The series stars Jonathan Groff, Frankie J. Alvarez and Murray Bartlett. It was created by Michael Lannan.
