Diem Brown’s friends and family said their final goodbyes at her funeral on Tuesday, but her boyfriend and MTV co-star Chris "CT" Tamburello gave his own touching tribute to her on his Instagram page.
Brown and Tamburello dated on and off and much of their relationship was played out on-screen, both good and bad. Since she was diagnosed with cancer for the third time this past summer, he was by her side in the hospital and often posted photos in support of her.
In a post to his Instagram page on Wednesday of a set of rosary beads, her mass card and a ring, he called Brown the “love of my life.”
"You have always been My Angel. And now you have your wings,” he wrote. “We've been thru so much over the years. Thru the ups and downs we somehow managed to keep our promise. We never gave up on each other. Our plan to be together forever hasn't changed... it's just going to take a little longer now."
Tamburello went on to write, “And I'm going to hold onto this ring for you till we are together again. So don't worry mama, I'm not afraid. I know you will always be with me to give me your strength. You are The Love of My Life. My reason to be a better man. I Love You Always and Forever.”
Brown was laid to rest in New York City at the St. Francis XavierCatholic Church, where country singer Trisha Yearwood sang at her service.
