Buddy Valastro, who runs the pastry shop featured in TLC’s Cake Boss reality series, was arrested Thursday morning in Manhattan. He is facing drunk driving charges, police confirmed.
Valastro was charged with driving while intoxicated and driving while impaired, reports NBC New York. He was stopped on 10th Avenue near Hudson Yards.
He was driving a yellow 2014 Corvette. Police say he was seen swerving and was not steady when he tried to get out of his car. His eyes were bloodshot as well. When he failed a breathalyzer test, he was arrested.
Valastro’s bakery did not comment.

As ABC News notes, Valastro’s New Jersey bakery has been the focus of TLC’s Cake Boss since 2009. He has also been featured on the network’s Kitchen Boss and The Next Great Baker. His original show focuses on balancing the bakery business while dealing with family issues on the side.
On Wednesday, Valastro posted a picture of himself with his community. “Here In Carlos bakery Marlton and what a great reaction from the community I love this place I feel at home here,” he wrote.
