It seems Bret Michaels is going through some medical issues, being hospitalized six times in just a matter of two weeks but still insisted on performing.
His longtime guitarist, Pete Evick, was the one who updated Michaels’ fans in a lengthy Facebook post explaining the situation.
“This past week Bret had to have surgery on his kidneys. With all diabetes there are extra precautions and sometimes complications,” wrote Evick, telling fans he didn’t update them sooner because it was too difficult for him to find the words.
Despite getting two stents placed in his body, he insisted that he get on stage and perform. “During the show he gave 100 percent, but he hurt himself,” wrote Evick. “Jumping around with two stents was a bad idea. I can't explain the amount of blood or where it came from, but it was horrifying on his bus after the show.”
Evick continued, “While the last few weeks have been tragic, Bret continues to be an inspiration in his ability to push on. He's still not 100 percent, but there are no plans to postpone or reschedule any more shows this year."

Evick assured, “The staff and doctors were unbelievable and took incredible care of Bret.”
Michaels has Type 1 diabetes and has multiple health scares in recent years.
