Aaron Carter declared his love for his ex-girlfriend Hilary Duff back in March and she is finally responding. The former Lizzie McGuire star dated Carter back when they were teenagers and she’s since gone on to marry – and separate from – Mike Comrie and have a son, Luca, 2.
Duff laughed when she was asked how she feels about his public declaration, saying she barely knows him anymore.
"I keep seeing that, that he keeps doing that. I don’t know how I feel. I mean, that was so long ago, and obviously I'm still married, and I have a baby and we kind of just… don't know each other. So, yeah…" she told BuzzFeed.
Carter took to Twitter to declare Duff was the love of his life, writing, "I'll spend the rest of my life trying to better myself to get back to her. I don't care what ANY of you think."
Despite announcing her separation from husband Mike Comrie in January, the two have been seen out multiple times together.
Us Weekly reports she has talked about the fact that they’re still working on their marriage before, saying "I mean, if there wasn't a chance for getting back [together], I think we would've filed for divorce.”
