Julia Louis-Dreyfus talks about her Emmys kiss with Bryan Cranston (Video)

Easily one of the highlights of an otherwise boring Emmys night was Bryan Cranston and Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ long kiss. The Veep actress complimented the Breaking Bad star’s kissing skills during a chat with the media after her win on Monday night.

The kiss was set up earlier in the night when Cranston and Louis-Dreyfus were called on stage to present an award. Cranston reminded her that he played dentist Tim Whatley, who famously became Jewish just so he could deliver Jewish jokes. Louis-Dreyfus pretended not to remember that at all.

Then, as Louis-Dreyfus went to pick up her much-deserved Emmy for Veep, Cranston pulled her to the side and landed a lengthy kiss that Clark Gable would have been proud of. “You were on Seinfeld!” Louis-Dreyfus said during her acceptance speech.

As ABC News notes, after that moment, Cranston told the media that it’s “not a question of why, but more a question of why not?”

Louis-Dreyfus said that they had asked their spouses before kissing and she complimented his work. “It was pretty good,” she said. “He went for it!”

Louis-Dreyfus’ win also caught the attention of real Vice President Joe Biden, who congratulated her on Twitter.
