Peter Dinklage, who has become the star of Game of Thrones, had a really awesome mullet while he was in high school. While this isn’t ground-breaking information, a high school year book photo showing off the hairdo has gone viral.
The photo surfaced on Reddit, where it has earned over 500 comments and over 3,500 up votes.
According to Today.com, the photo was taken in 1987 while Dinklage attended the Christian all-male prep school Delbarton School in New Jersey.
Dinklage’s quote comes from playwright and actor Sam Shepard and reads, “Words are tools of imagery in motion.”

Obviously, Dinklage went on to do great things, all while losing the mullet. He stars as Tyrion Lannister on Game of Thrones and is still the only actor on the show to win an Emmy. He also starred in X-Men: Days of Future Past this summer and is currently working on Pixels with Adam Sandler.
