Justin Timberlake is coming back to Saturday Night Life, although he will not be pulling double duty this time. The “Take Back The Night Singer” will be the musical guest when Jimmy Fallon hosts next month.
NBC announced the SNL schedule for December, confirming that Anchorman: The Legend Continues star Paul Rudd will host the Dec. 7 episode. One Direction, whose Midnight Memories hits stores on Nov. 25, will be Rudd’s musical guest. It’s the third time Rudd is hosting and will be One Direction’s second SNL appearance.
The Dec. 14 episode will be hosted by John Goodman, who appears in the Coen Brothers’ Inside Llewyn Davis and stars on Amazon’s Alpha House. Kings of Leon will perform songs from their new album, Mechanical Bull.
SNL alum Fallon will host the Dec. 21 episode. Fallon will be making the move to the Tonight Show on Feb. 17, leaving current SNL Weekend Update anchor Seth Meyers to take over Late Night. There will probably be some jokes about Fallon handing over the reigns to Meyers.
This weekend’s episode of SNL features The Hunger Games: Catching Fire star Liam Hemsworth.
