The CW is giving all of its fall series the chance to have a full season. The studio announced that The Originals, The Tomorrow People and Reign have gotten full-season orders.
Deadline.com reported that The Originals, which is a spinoff of The Vampire Diaries has thrived in the Tuesday 8 p.m. time slot, averaging 0.9 among adults 18-49 and over 2 million viewers in Live+. Out of the three new original series from the CW, The Originals is the highest rated.
Entertainment Weekly added that The Tomorrow People was averaging of rating of about 0.9 and Reign had an average rating of 0.8.
CW president Mark Pedowitz spoke regarding the renewal of the entire fall line up. Pedowitz said that in just a few seasons the CW has build a strong primetime schedule and on-air ratings have increased from year to year, Entertainment Weekly reported.
The CW’s new shows have also done very well when it comes to digital streaming and DVR. The network’s streaming of full episodes has increased 50% since last season.
