Some of Marilyn Monroe's medical files are going up for auction in November.
The files included are a physician's notes on possible cosmetic surgery and several X-rays, which are being put up for auction at Julien's Auctions in Beverly Hills, Reuters reports.
The doctors' notes provide an insight into some of Monroe's medical history, between the years 1950 to 1962 anyway. The X-rays are also a set of six. Julien's believes they should bring in an estimated $15,000 to $30,000 when they go up for auction.
Plastic Surgeon Michael Gurdin wrote the medical notes, which seem to confirm that Monroe had some plastic surgery done, which was still new at the time. Executive Director Mike Nolan of Julien's Auction said, "Nobody really thought about Marilyn Monroe having plastic surgery. It was always speculation - did she or didn't she?"
"They thought she was such a natural beauty, they didn't want to believe."
The X-rays show damage from a fall late at night on June 7, 1962. And the notes show references to a cartilage implant in the actress' chin that was beginning to dissolve.
According to Vanity Fair, the unnamed seller received the records as a gift from Gurdin. The records note that the Some Like it Hot actress was 115 pounds and 5'6" at the time of the notes.
