Two-time Oscar winning actor Christoph Waltz will star in Horrible Bosses 2 after all, even though he had initially passed on the comedy sequel. New Line has also scheduled the film for a November 2014 release.
Earlier this month, Star Trek Into Darkness actor Chris Pine joined the film to star as the son of a new ‘horrible boss’ for stars Jason Sudeikis, Charlie Day and Jason Bateman. The tole of Pine’s father was open at the time, since Waltz had passed.
However, on Friday, Variety confirmed that Waltz will appear in the film after all. The site also confirmed that Jennifer Aniston and Kevin Spacey, who played horrible bosses in the first film, will return. Jamie Foxx is also returning.
The original 2011 film made $117 million domestically and only cost $35 million to produce. The sequel will be directed by We’re The Millers’ Sean Anders is directing. John Morris, who co-wrote Millers, is executive producing.
While Waltz does have several projects in the works, it looks like his immediate schedule freed up to allow him to do Horrible Bosses 2. He is in talks for the villain role in Tarzan.
Horrible Bosses 2 will hit theaters on Nov. 28, 2014 and production starts in two weeks.
