The Glee Cory Monteith tribute is going to be a tough one for fans of the show. A list of songs that the cast will perform during the episode has been leaked, confirming that you may need a box of tissues while watching.
Perez Hilton is reporting that the central song for the episode will be “Seasons of Love,” from the musical Rent. The remaining songs that will be featured are The Pretenders’ “I’ll Stand By You,” James Taylor’s “Fire and Rain,” The Band Perry’s “If I Die Young,” Bruce Springsteen’s “No Surrender” and Bob Dylan’s “To Make You Feel My Love.” (That last one will likely sound familiar to Glee viewers thanks to Adele’s version.)
Glee will pay tribute to Monteith during the Oct. 10 episode, which will be the third episode of the season. Actress Jane Lynch tweeted in August that the episode is the “most beautiful thing.”
Monteith died in July and the coroner’s report surfaced this week. The coroner found that Monteith, 31, died with heroin and alcohol in his system.
