Add another guest star for the third season of Fox's hit comedy New Girl, Taye Diggs.
Diggs will appear in the show's seventh episode as a potential love interest for Jess, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed. His character is named Artie and he's only set for one episode.
Artie is a ladies' man who could potentially be a bump in the road for Jess (Zooey Deschanel) and Nick (Jake Johnson). The same episode will also see the return of Damon Wayans Jr. who appeared only in the pilot episode due to his other show Happy Endings. Wayans is set to return for several episodes in the season.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Diggs' Artie will meet Jess while she's with Cece and Nick at the bar. The actor will begin shooting his scenes next week.
THR notes that Diggs was previously starring in the show Private Practice. In addition to New Girl the actor will also be seen in the upcoming films Baggage Claim and The Best Man Holiday.
Season three of New Girl premiered Tuesday.
