Rashida Jones, Will McCormack relationship comedy goes to NBC

Rashida Jones, who will be starting her final season on Parks & Recreation next week, will be executive producing a relationship comedy at NBC with her Celeste and Jesse Forever costar Will McCormack.

According to Deadline, the network has given A To Z a put pilot commitment. Ben Queen (Cars 2) is writing the pilot and will executive produce with Jones and McCormack.

TheWrap notes that A To Z will be a half-hour, single-camera project and centers on a single relationship between a couple who meet and break up throughout the season. No actors are attached.

It will be produced through McCormack and Jones’ Le Train Train shingle, which is set up at Warner Bros. TV. They also have put pilot commitments at Fox (Stuck) and The CW (The Revengers).

Jones, along with co-star Rob Lowe, are leaving Parks & Rec halfway through the show’s sixth season. She will be seen in front of the camera in B.O.O.: Bureau of Otherworldly Operations with Seth Rogen and Matt Bomer in 2015.
