Britney Spears’ Las Vegas show Britney: Piece of Me is reportedly struggling in terms of ticket sales, with only three of sixteen dates selling out so far.
Sources are saying that after spending a lot of money to promote the show at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino, the ticket sales have been disappointing.
A source told RadarOnline, “After spending hundreds of thousands on promo, they expected to instantly sell out all of the first 16 shows, but they didn’t come close!”
The insider also compared the lack of sales to other stars who have had Vegas residencies, such as Shania Twain and Celine Dion, who sold out their first block of shows right off the bat.
“Ticket sales need to start skyrocketing or else there’s going to be a lot of disappointed investors and people involved with the show,” said the source.
However, one of the executives from Caesars said about the show, which starts Dec. 27, We’re very pleased, and, as we suspected, interest in Britney is very high from all over," Entertainmentwise reports.
