Will Ferrell’s fictional character in Anchorman, Ron Burgundy, has written an autobiography titled Let Me Off at the Top!, due out Nov. 19 and published by Random House's Crown Archetype imprint.
In a statement, the Channel 4 News Team anchor said of the book, “I don't know if it's the greatest autobiography ever written. I’m too close to the work, EW reports.
He added, I will tell you this much: the first time I sat down and read this thing…I cried like a goddamn baby, and you can take that to the bank!”
Rolling Stone reports the book will cover both his career and personal life and it will "offer a rare glimpse behind the camera into the real life of a man many consider to be the greatest living news anchor."
Anchorman was released in 2004 and became a cult classic with audiences, which led to the sequel Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues being made and released December 20. Ferrell and Adam McKay co-wrote both films but weren’t involved in writing the autobiography attributed to the ‘70s anchor.
