Actress Rachel Leigh Cook, famous for her roles in movies such as Josie and the Pussycats and She’s All That, is expecting her first child with husband Daniel Gilles.
Gilles, 37, who has a role on The Vampire Diaries’ spin off The Originals, tweeted to his fans that they are “delighted,” while Leigh Cook, 33, wrote “Thanks for the love you guys ;-).”
The parents-to-be got married in 2004, People reports. They will be celebrating their ninth wedding anniversary this August.
On May 15, the couple will appear alongside each other in the film Broken Kingdom, which Gilles also produced.
Leigh Cook, who is currently filming Perception’s second season, told Us Weekly “I've been hiding my rapidly growing bump while shooting but this kiddo is vying for screen time. We clearly have a future actor on our hands."
Added her husband, “A lot of people are asking whether I'd prefer a boy or a girl. In truth, it doesn't matter to me -- I just can't wait to meet little Keanu Robocop."
