Girls actress Allison Williams is branching out to feature films, starting with 20th Century Fox’s Rosaline. She’s also reportedly one of the actresses being considered for Fantastic Four.
Deadline reported that Rosaline will be Williams’ first lead role in a film. It will be produced by Shawn Levy (Real Steel, Night at the Museum) and is based on When You Were Mine by Rebecca Serle.
However, the bigger note in the site’s story might be that she’s among the group of actresses Fox is looking at for its Fantastic Four reboot. Chronicle director Josh Trank has been attached to the project and Matthew Vaughn was hired to produce in February. It is slated for a March 6, 2015 release. Deadline stressed that Williams, the daughter of NBC News anchor Brian Williams, is in the very early stages of talking about the project. She would probably play the Invisible Woman, the role Jessica Alba had in Fox’s poorly received 2005 and 2007 films.
Williams plays Marnie on Girls and recently had a recurring role on The Mindy Project.
