Simon was not a wise investor.
Much like a lot of us, human beings, we don’t know how to regulate and spend our money. After Simon was a successful writer, people would ask him to invest in their ideas. One such idea was a herd of cattle. Sadly enough, the cattle he invested in froze to death. He also was part owner of a theater but, he decided to not be in that business shortly after.
