Let’s get this out of the way. Ronan Farrow is the son of actor and humanitarian Mia Farrow and filmmaker Woody Allen. According to Eric Lax’s biography of his father, Ronan was given his mother’s surname so as to fit in with his family of Farrows and Previns. Farrow and his mother worked with charities and organizations to fight global crises, which was the beginning of his public service career.
